Winemakers Reserve Muscat ($55/L)
Introducing our Winemakers Reserve Muscat, a standout in our blending fortified wine collection. Aged for approximately eight years, this blend has been crafted to bring depth, polish, and real momentum to your barrel.
Dark amber caramel in colour, it opens with dense fruit cake, baking spices, and a rich, warming aroma. The palate is smooth and layered, thick and luscious, with powerful flavour and a beautifully rounded finish. Elegant and beautifully balanced, it carries both freshness and age, delivering complexity and fullness without losing vibrancy and fruit.
This is the muscat you reach for when your barrel has matured beyond Deluxe topping material. Once a blend reaches a certain style or age, adding muscat that is too young can stall its progression. Winemakers Reserve Muscat is designed for ageing barrels that have outgrown the basics, or for anyone wanting to take their blend to the next level sooner, building a more luscious and complex muscat with confidence.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN STANDARD, PREMIUM, DELUXE AND SPECIALTY BLENDS?
Our Standard fortified is approximately 2 to 3 years old, fresh and versatile. It is a great starting point for a new barrel, or for adding a lift of bright, youthful flavour.
Premium is approximately 3 to 4 years old and offers a little more depth. It suits those who love a drink now style, or anyone wanting a head start on building a more mature blend.
Deluxe is approximately 4 to 5 years old and is the most developed option in our core range. It is ideal for brand new barrels, or for quickly adding extra age, richness, and complexity.
Our Specialty Blends are designed for customers who want to go further. They are for very established barrels, or for blends that have outgrown the Standard, Premium, and Deluxe range and need older, more distinctive material to keep evolving. These include parcels of varying ages and styles, as well as occasional single variety offerings to add interest, structure, and new life to your blend.
If you are unsure what your barrel needs, we recommend booking a blending consultation with our winemaker, either in person at the winery or online via Zoom. Please note that Zoom consultations require you to send a sample to the winemaker ahead of your appointment. You can do so here.
