At 20 years of age, the 2006 Vintage Fortified is a confident expression of the Stanton & Killeen style, built on both tradition and curiosity. This vintage brings together Shiraz and Durif with a beautifully judged mix of Portuguese varieties, creating a wine that feels classic, yet unmistakably S&K.

The blend is layered and deliberate: Shiraz 29%, Touriga Nacional 20%, Tinta Barroca 17%, Tinto Cão 14%, Tinta Roriz 10% and Durif 10%. It was a very good growing season and harvest, and that natural fruit quality, paired with high quality spirit, has delivered a Vintage Fortified with serious cellaring potential.

The flavour profile opens with a brick red hue and lifted notes of raspberry and cola. The palate is fruit driven and well-integrated, with blackcurrant and sweet cherry at the core, complemented by clove and complex spice. The tannins are evident and lingering, adding shape and structure while the fruit stays generous and bright.

Soft, spiced, and wonderfully composed, this is a Vintage Fortified with a long, steady finish and the kind of balance that ages with grace. Drink it now for its vibrancy or cellar it and watch the layers deepen year after year.
