Every year, a small number of wines from our cellar reach a moment worth marking. This is the story of those wines, the new release that joins them, and the way we have chosen to share them.
The 2024 Vintage Fortified is a powerful and expressive release that showcases the depth and richness that defines this rare Australian wine style.
After a wet and unpredictable start to the season, a warm and clear summer delivered a dry, disease-free harvest of ripe, concentrated fruit. Brilliant and dense in the glass, with a deep, dark ruby colour, the nose leans into a classic Portuguese style, with perfumed, fruit-forward aromatics and lifted florals and violets.
The palate is rich and savoury, layered with blackcurrant, cassis, dark chocolate and cacao, with fine, structured tannins and a spirit that sits seamlessly alongside the fruit. The finish is long and dry, with savoury length and a lingering, firm grip. Although vibrant and full now, this wine is only at the very beginning of its journey, and will shine after five years in bottle and continue to evolve gracefully for many decades to come.

Bright, pretty and beautifully floral. Blueberry, blackberry and violet lift over notes of lavender and vanilla, while the finish carries purple florals and potpourri, all framed by fine, grippy tannins.

Plush, generous and pretty, with blackcurrant lifted by bright, high acidity. Rich on the palate with seamless tannins and well-integrated spirit, finishing with a herbaceous, seed-tannin grip.

Showing beautiful, aged richness, with a brick-garnet hue. Blackcurrant, plum and raspberry carry real fruit weight, while well-integrated spirit and drying tannins lend balance and length.

Dense and richly ripe, big and plush with real weight. Ripe plum and blackberry compote meet ground coffee and tiramisu, carried by a generous, spirit-led palate. A wonderful food wine, lovely with sharp blue cheese.

A tawny, brick-garnet wine of softness and grace. Darker fruits sit rich yet delicate, lifted and bright, with beautifully integrated spirit. Fine acidity gives it real lift and length.
